Women's rates in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in academia as well as in the industry are meaningfully lower than those of men internationally and in Israel too. The present lecture will present international and local findings on that as well as influencing factors and interventions aimed at promoting change in Women's participation in STEM.
Dr Efrat Salton Meyer holds a PhD in management; is a psychologist & organizational consultant, a lecturer at the Baruch Ivcher School of Psychology and MA program of Behavioral Economics at IDC. Efrat has over 20 years of experience in consulting to international & local organizations in Hi-Tech, Bio-Tech, governmental & institutional R&I, finance, energy, healthcare and more. She is an expert in collaborations between academia and industry, leading multiple projects focused among others on gender equality in the field of technology. Her research areas include organizational ethical climate & social responsibility, leadership, gender, decision making.
